Practice Management

Pauline is a professional experienced manager with over 30 years local government and public/private partnership experience.

During this time she has performed a variety of roles within vendor relationship management, procurement, financial and legal practice management offering strong management skills. She provides management information including finance and costing analysis working closely with HR, Technology and Change and Business Support teams to ensure the office runs smoothly. Pauline was responsible for the successful implementation and development of the legal case management system for North Yorkshire County Council. Her current team offers support to the various legal fee earners as well as support to committees and appeals.

Pauline has overseen and successfully managed a reducing legal budget at North Yorkshire County Council for over 10 years. Pauline is qualified as an EFQM assessor and an internal IIP assessor and has been a member of various award winning teams within local government.

She has assisted the legal team at North Yorkshire to gain the Law Society’s Lexcel Award for Excellence in Practice Management for the sixteenth year running.

Pauline was the Vice Chair and Secretary of the national public sector Legal Business Support Managers group organising events for over 7 years finally standing down in 2015. She was also a member of the CIPFA steering committee for benchmarking on legal services.
